Marine Band Release A New Statement That Could Prove Beyonce Didn’t Lip Sync

I was hoping that the rumors regarding Beyonce lip syncing at the Inauguration ceremony were false. Beyonce’s performance of the National Anthem was terrific, merely impeccable. It was shocking when various media outlets reported that the singer did not perform the song live but used a prerecorded track. For some reason a spokesperson for the US Marine Corps. issued a statement to confirm this rumor, but why would anyone feel the need to release an official statement saying Beyonce didn’t sing live?

Sounds like shade, but read the official statement below:

“We don’t know why Beyoncé decided to use prerecorded music. All music (for inaugural ceremonies) is prerecorded as a matter of course, and that’s something we’ve done for years and years. The Marine Band did perform live throughout the ceremony but we received last-minute word that Beyoncé wanted to use the recording.”

Now there is a new statement floating around the web by Marine Corps. spokesman Captain Gregory Wolf. The Capt. basically says that the band did not perform live because they did not have the opportunity to rehearse with Bey.

“Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter’s vocal performance, no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded.”

As reported by the YBF the video above captures Beyonce’s audio vocals from the mic instead of the speakers:

“A video that the Wall Street Journal posted yesterday (before the rumors) actually uses the audio from her mic (as they recorded from the stage) instead of the speaker system like the tv outlets used. And you can hear her voice over the track, including the feedback from the mic which explains why she removed her earpiece.”
