Happy Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is always special for me, especially now that I am a mother. Today my heart smiled looking at all the sweet sentiments to mother’s from their kids and mother’s expressing love to their kids.

We as humans often blame our parents for the things that go wrong in life. Your upbringing has a lot to do with the person you are. Sometimes it’s easy to look at your mom and say “well if you would have done this, instead of that my life would be so different.” I know I have often said this to my mom. However now that I am a mother, it’s not right to play the blame game. Everything that happens in life happens for a reason. You have the power to turn each negative into a positive or even learn from each negative experience.

Today is about celebrating mothers. I want to celebrate each of those beautiful humans that brining life into this world, who nurtures life, and is usually selfless, strong, and brave.

My Mom, Grandma, and Aunts

I am thankful for my mother. I am thankful that she is still living. I have someone to share every detail of my life; someone who is truly happy and proud of the person that I am, who loves me for me.

The biggest lesson my mother taught me is that I can truly be whoever I wanted to be and I can have anything in life that I truly wanted. There is power in words and as a mother your words are the first spoken to your child. This amazing gift to build your child up is amazing. I want to take that nugget and pass it on to my children. I want to speak life into my kids so that they know the world is their oyster, they can have whatever they want and be whoever they want to be.

Again Happy Mother’s Day All.
